Ancient Olive Grove Biking is an invigorating biking ride in Delphi valley, through the famous ancient olive grove!
Our ride starts at the archaeological site of Delphi, at the temple of Athena Pronaia. We enter the heart of the Crisaean field olive grove with naturally carved trunks of centennial trees. It is wonderful to observe how the silver-green foliage of the olive trees change colors depending on the time of the day. We pass by the little chapel of St George with the typically Greek high cypresses and take in the unique scenery. Once we arrive in the riverbed of the River Plistos we take a break, near a traditional stone fountain, under the refreshing shade of a large plane tree. Here, we'll enjoy a delicious snack with local olives, feta cheese and bread. We continue our ride to the seaside town of Itea (Ancient port of Kirra) for 5 more kilometers.
