An earthly paradise with abundant vegetation, amazing views and crystal clear sea just a breath away from Athens city! Skorponeria (or Skroponeria) is a magical location of the Boeotian coast, in the Northern Euboean Gulf, which is just a stone's throw away from El. Venizelos airport and Athens (about an hour), and just 20 minutes from Chalkis city.
In ancient times it was known by the name "Seal Fjord". Skroponeri or Skorponeri bay is an imposing fjord that has nothing to envy from other fjords around Europe. Near the bay is located one of the unknown but beautiful lakes of Greece, Paralimni (the southernmost lake in Greece that has water lilies and the southernmost point where storks nest in Greece) and Mount Ptoon.
In addition, in Scorponeria Bay there is a place in Greece that is incredibly similar to Cyprus. This is Glaronissi (whose only permanent inhabitants are... seagulls!) and from above it looks uncannily like Cyprus.
Due to its special morphology, if we are a little lucky we will also meet dolphins, which thanks to the "easy prey" trapped in the bay and the large population of fish, move between the fishing boats with grace and comfort!
