During this time, we’ll have the opportunity to taste traditional food and explore the medieval capital of Bavaria.

Next, we’ll head to Austria’s largest adventure park, AREA 47, for thrilling activities such as Flying Fox and exciting attractions at the massive Water Park.

Day’s journey: 247 km, approximately 3.5 hours.

After breakfast, we depart for one of Austria’s most famous cities and the birthplace of one of the world’s most renowned composers, Amadeus MozartSalzburg. “Salzburg” means "Castle made of salt" in Greek. 🎼

In Salzburg, we’ll check in at the MEININGER Hotel Salzburg 3*, where we’ll stay for 3 nights.

Next, we’ll visit one of Austria's most popular winter ski parks, Karkogel, where we’ll take the cable car to the top and enjoy a fun descent on a toboggan.

After the activity, we’ll head back to Salzburg, where we’ll rent city bikes to explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The Old Town is home to some of the most significant landmarks in the region.

Later, we’ll enjoy a traditional Austrian dinner in the heart of the city.

💡 Did you know...?

Salzburg served as the backdrop for one of the most iconic musicals in film history—The Sound of Music. The film, starring Julie Andrews as the beloved nanny to the von Trapp family, was shot in the lush hills surrounding the city. Though the movie won 5 Oscars, it wasn’t released in Austria until 35 years later! The Austrian audience wasn’t particularly fond of the way the American film industry portrayed 20th-century Austrian high society.

Day’s journey: 270 km, approximately 3.5 hours.

Salzach-Gollinger-Salzburg

We head south to meet the Salzach River, starting in the village of Lend for an exciting rafting activity on the river. This is a fantastic way to experience both personal adventure and team fun. 🏞

The activity will last approximately 1.5 hours, covering a distance of 70 km on the most iconic river in the region.

Afterward, we’ll hop back into our van and start the journey back to Salzburg, with a stop to visit the impressive Gollinger Waterfall. We’ll approach the waterfall with a short 45-minute hike, taking in the beauty of the Austrian countryside along the way.

The evening is free, giving you time for dinner in Salzburg.

Day’s journey: 155 km, approximately 2.5 hours.

Hallstat-Salzburg

We depart in the morning for thelakeside town of Hallstatt, one of the most beautiful destinations of our trip.

Hallstatt is a small yet enchanting town in Austria, nestled between the cosmopolitan cities of Salzburg and Graz.

Built amphitheatrically at an altitude of 508 meters on the shores of Hallstättersee Lake, and at the foot of the Alps, it is a paradise that looks like it’s come straight out of a postcard. Surrounded by lush fir trees, an idyllic lake, and offering breathtaking views of the Alps, every corner of this town feels like a fairytale setting—with its snow-covered traditional wooden houses, narrow streets, stunning caves, and the warm hospitality of its people. Hallstatt is one of Austria’s most photographed landscapes, and its natural beauty makes it one of the country’s most important travel attractions.

Our day will be dedicated to hiking in notable spots like Hallstättersee and the Five Fingers Lookout, followed by a visit to a historic salt mine in the area. We’ll also have free time for lunch or even a boat ride on the lake.

Later, we’ll drive back to Salzburg, where we’ll stay at the same MEININGER Hotel Salzburg for our final night.

💡 Did you know...?

Hallstatt is considered one of Europe’s oldest settlements, which is why it’s one of UNESCO’s protected heritage sites.

Day’s journey: 145 km, approximately 2.5 hours.

Salsburg-Zell am See-Kaprun

Today is dedicated to exploring some of the most iconic and historic medieval castles in the region. 🏰

We start with a visit and guided tour of the 900-year-old Burg Hohenwerfen Castle, surrounded by stunning nature.

Next, we continue our adventure by ascending Austria's most iconic hill, where we’ll walk the Der Sound of Music Weg (The Sound of Music Trail). This short hike along the trail leads us to the picturesque meadow where Mary and the children sang Do-Re-Mi—a must-do experience in Austria, not only for fans of the film. The journey from the village center of Werfen is full of surprises, with Sound of Music memorabilia and breathtaking alpine views.

Afterwards, we’ll head to Liechtensteinklamm Gorge for a hike. Spanning 4,000 meters, Liechtensteinklamm is one of the largest gorges in the Alps. About 1,000 meters of the ravine are accessible to visitors, and we’ll hike along a wooden platform inside the gorge until we reach the stunning waterfall at the end of the trail.

In the evening, we’ll check in for an overnight stay in the nearby village of Kaprun at the JUFA Hotel Kaprun, in quad rooms with private bathrooms and breakfast.

Day’s journey: 100 km, approximately 1.5 hours.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Kaprun

We start our day with a morning stroll in the nearby town of Zell am See.

Today, we head to the Saalbach-Hinterglemm area, Austria's most famous ski resort, which also happens to be the country’s largest cycling area. During the summer months, it transforms into an "adventure paradise" for thrill-seekers, offering unique mountain bike and gravel trails of varying difficulty levels in perfect terrain. Here, we'll have the chance to enjoy both mountain biking and hiking activities. The park features over 90 km of some of Austria's best trails, ensuring endless action and fun for every cyclist.
