The Laconia and Arcadia tribute, is a program which provides guests the wonderful sceneries, as well unforgettable adventures and activities.

The region of Laconia is located in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese, known for its warm winters and hot summers.

Limeni, a small yet picturesque and upper scale fishermans port, is where we will reside for the first three nights of our tour.

We will visit the village of Aeropoli, with a stylish nightlife, the famous Alepotripa and Vlichada caves, known as Diros caves and we will hike to the southernmost poιt of continental Europe.

Our next stop will be the region of Arcadia, in order to enjoy an exciting day of fun and action, while rafting the Lousios river.

Our final destination is the region of Achaia, located in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese. In this mountainous region, we will be staying at a guesthouse on a farm in the village of Kerpini.

Here we will hike the Vouraikos gorge, which is part of the European E4 trail. We will experience a ride on the most picturesque route of the Odontotos, the tiny rack rail starting from the waterfront village of Diakofto and ends at the mountainous town of Kalavryta, ascending an altitude of 750 meters above sea level. Activities / Schedule

Limeni

Arrive at your leisure at our establishment in the small waterfront village of Limeni. This picturesque village in the heart of Mani, gives the visitor a good taste of what Greece has to offer. After a welcoming briefing and dinner, we visit the nearby village of Areopoli for a relaxing evening walk.

Diros Cave - Hike Tenaro cape - Limeni

After breakfast, we head towards the Caves of Diros. The spectacular cave complex offers visitors the opportunity to travel back to the Neolithic era and even further. It is not just the drop in temperature that gives you the chills as you descend underground to start the 40-minute boat tour of Vlychada, the biggest cave of the Diros complex. It is the beautiful and dramatic formations of stalactites and stalagmites, formed millions of years ago, when the sea, located just a few meters away, started to rise and formed the lake we see today. It is the excitement of not knowing what can be hiding in the darkness beyond the illuminated 1.5k route, and the realization of the sheer size of this underground miracle of nature: a series of vast caverns stretching 15k into the rock, with 2,800 waterways – and this is only what we know of so far. We then travel to the most Southern point of the Peloponnese and of all continental Europe, the Lighthouse of Tenaro, manufactured in 1882. Our hike is 4 kilometers long, at some points being Ancient mosaic, dating back to the Roman era. After our hike, we drive back to Limeni for dinner.

Sea kayak and scuba diving in Limeni

Today we enjoy the spectacular waters of Limeni. Sea kayaking and scuba diving with our experienced local guides, for some memorable experiences. Dinner for our last evening in the Laconia region.

Depart Laconia - Rafting Lousios - Kerpini

We depart Laconia after breakfast, heading northeast towards the mountainous region of Arcadia for some river rafting in the river of Lousios. Our experienced team will show you a great time in this 2nd to 3rd degree difficulty descent. According to tradition, the river took its name from Zeus, the father of the Olympian gods, who according to Pausanias washed at its sources after his birth. We visit a nearby waterfall and after lunch, head north to the village of Kerpini. Dinner and overnight.

Vouraikos Gorge hike - Odontotos Rack Rail - Beekeeping  seminar - Kerpini

After our farm to table breakfast, we get ready for our 6-hour hike, where we walk along the tracks of the most impressive attraction of this area: the “Odondotos” Rack Railway. Built in 1896 in order to connect the towns of Diakopto and Kalavryta, it has become an indispensable part of the area! It is often described as the most “spectacular rail route” of the Balkan area. Starting our hike from the town of Kalavryta we will have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and walk through this wonderful nature reserve until we reach Diakopto. From here we will hop on the famous Odondotos Rack Railway and ride back to Kalavryta taking in the stunning views along the route! Before returning to our guesthouse, we attend a local beekeeping seminar. This evening everyone is free to explore the area.

Lake Tsivlou canoeing and hike - Kerpini

Today we will enjoy the unique experience of lake canoeing at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. It was created in 1913 by a landslide between the villages of Sylivena & Τsivlos. The lake is very deep and is fed by underground sources and forest streams. Lake Tsivlou is considered to be the youngest natural lake in Europe. It is surrounded by lush pine forest making it an ideal spot for some light hiking. Tonight is our farewell dinner.
