Our route winds through famous Tzoumerka villages like Kalarrites, Sirrako, Pramanta, Melissourgoi, Platanoussa. We'll uncover hidden gems - pristine rivers, rugged gorges, lush forests. Explore charming squares, stone shelters, local wineries, and taverns.

It's a stunning route that begins at Kalarrites (1,170m). It leads to the enchanting waterfalls and the historic Quiassa mill. As the waters flow, they become potable, cold, and crystal clear. Continuing our journey, they ascend to the Sirrakos square, passing through the enchanting forest. Along the way, we pause briefly to admire the surroundings.Then we descend to the Chrousia river gorge, where we can enjoy a refreshing bath during the warm months. As we ascend, we reach the central square of Kalarrites, completing our journey. There is the oldest tavern in Greece 180 years old, the folklore museum where we can see the first handmade BVLGARI jewelry. The BVLGARI house was founded in 1884 by Sotirios Bulgari, whose origin is from the Kalarrites.

The route begins at Melissourgoi refuge. Ascending, we reach Kefalovrysos waterfall, sourced from Strogoula peak's steep slopes. The highest waterfall in Greece stands at over 300m. Continuing our journey, we arrive at the Pramanta shelter, where a brief stop is made. Then we enter the dense forest of Kefallinian fir (Abies Cephalonica). The sun cannot reach this part, and the path remains in constant shade. Continuing our journey, we discover the 1876 Ag. Paraskevi monastery. Nearby, at 1,050 m altitude, lies the Katsantonis cave with its underground riverbed and unique chambers. Our adventure concludes at the Melissourgoi Refuge.

The route starts a little outside the village of Platanoussa at an altitude of 540m. For the next 2 km, we descend to reach Arachthos River at 220m. In summer, we can take a break and swim. Continuing along Arachthos river, about halfway along the route we visit the local winery "Ktima Evdoxia". We will taste wine and the local tsipouro from the Zambela variety. This grape was introduced centuries ago and planted in the Tzoumerka region by Queen Isabella (Zabella) of Portugal. We arrive at the base of Trekking Hellas
