Trekking & Archery at Skiti Lake

Skiti Lake, near the village of the same name, stuns with its surreal landscape. A 2km drive through a chestnut forest reveals this extraordinary place, seemingly from another world!

On Larissa's coast, above Agiokampos' sandy beaches, stands the Mavrovouni massif. It offers stunning views of the Aegean, Athos peninsula, and the vibrant Thessalian plain. A photographer's paradise, this mountain sits between Kissavos and Pelion, showcasing the beauty of nature.

We begin our hike in Skiti, a charming mountain village, and make our way to the fire station. As we ascend through a beautiful forest, we will be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the Aegean Sea. On our way down, we will be welcomed by a surreal sight: the captivating lake.

Skiti Lake is a captivating sight with its eerie appearance, reminiscent of a movie scene. Spanning 200 acres, this lake boasts depths ranging from 2 to 7 meters. Its mysterious allure is sure to leave visitors in awe.

The lake in question is not a product of nature, but rather a man-made creation. It was carefully constructed by the former prefecture with the intention of serving as a water reservoir for agricultural purposes, specifically for irrigation in farming. 

Then we practice our skills in archery and enjoy our picnic.
